New fact sheet: Effective antibiotics – essential for childrens’ survival

Infectious diseases are the leading cause of death in children under the age of 5 years old. Many of these infections are likely caused by resistant bacteria.

In fact, children bear the highest burden of infections caused by antibiotic resistant bacteria. To shed further light on how antibiotic resistance affects children, why children are more vulnerable and what we can all do to manage antibiotic resistance, ReAct has developed a fact sheet highlighting the importance of preserving effective antibiotics for children.
